Mr. Karan, can you please tell me what is the selection criteria for getting into one of these camps? How do these players get selected for the camp?
ReplyDeleteThe players who make it into these camps have been selected as amongst the best from state level/national level tournaments. Once you play well in those competitions, the BFI will call you for a national camp
ReplyDeleteIn spite of directive from Govt of India, in the National Sports Bill proposed by Ministry of Youth affair and Sports each women team shall be provided sufficient number of women members in the coaching and support staff, Federation continue to ignore these guidelines and girls campers are not provided with any lady staff member. It is surprised to note that how girl’s safety and well being can be ensured without any lady staff member. We are well aware , what was happen in women Hockey and Women Wrestling Federation.
ReplyDeleteGood observation Dinesh
Deletewhen will be the next time this selection will take place and where?
ReplyDeleteIt'll take place at the same time next year
Deleteplz keep these camps in the cities of andhra pradesh like vijayawada hyderabad plz many people are intresented in getting select into the team but most off them dont know the criteria and process how to get select enlighten them plz . Even i am very intresented in getting selected i love basketball but no good coaching centers in our city(vijaywada)
ReplyDeleteThis is an All-India camp, so players from smaller towns can also make it if they're good enough. You'll have to find information about the state-level or district-level camps near your town and qualify for that level first.

ReplyDeleteYou should follow the BFI's website indiabasketball.org. They usually update the dates/places for all the camps

ReplyDeleteHow could I contact you if my school team is not so serious?
ReplyDeleteI cannot help individual cases, but if your school team is not serious, look for local basketball academies and clubs in your city/neighbourhood. Find a good one and hopefully, if you have talent, your coach should be able to lead you to better avenues
